Camp Fees & Financial Assistance
Camp Fees – please note, 2021 Virtual Camp fees will be $100 per family.
Heritage Camp’s model means that we keep camp fees very low and that those who can, donate a bit extra at camp registration and at various times throughout the year.
We intentionally and thoughtfully utilize volunteers because of our values around family engagement, but also because it allows camp to be affordable for most families.
If you’re attending two separate camps (run by Heritage Camps for Adoptive Families) this summer, you are eligible to receive 50% off your program fees and lodging fees for the second camp. After you register for both camps, please email Lisa@HeritageCamps.org about your reimbursement.
|High School (9th-12th grade)||$165|
|Middle School (6th-8th grade)||$145|
|Prek-Elementary (age 3 – 5th grade)||$135|
|Childcare (age 2 & under)||$75|
If you are a camp alumni parent or adult adoptee (age 18 and above), please contact us for camp fees and information.
-We provide financial assistance for approximately 50-75 families each year because inclusivity is one of our core values.
We generally award financial assistance to every family who applies, but it likely will not cover the full cost of camp. Most often, we are able to ward about 80% of what is applied for per family. This decision is based on the number of other applicants who have applied and the amount of funds requested. We ask you to contribute as much as you can toward your camp costs.
When registering online, you will have to pay the full amount via credit card for your camp fees (due to the way the registration system works online), then when you are awarded a scholarship, you will receive a reimbursement check from HCAF.
Financial assistance may also be awarded for lodging costs, but you will have to pay your lodging deposit when you reserve your space online or via phone. If you are awarded financial assistance for lodging, those funds will be included in your financial assistance award check, mailed to you before camp, which you can use to pay your lodging balance.
The financial assistance determination will be made soon after the deadline. You must complete a financial assistance application in order to be considered.
Financial assistance is awarded based on the following criteria: family size; family income; number of family members attending Heritage Camp this summer; willingness of adult family members to assist in camp preparations or during camp above and beyond assigned volunteer positions, and extenuating family circumstances.
The table to the right shows income guidelines that may be used when deciding on financial assistance, but a reminder that this is not our only criteria. We understand that income is not always a determining factor in your ability to pay for camp. Please apply if finances are the only reason you may not be able to bring your family to camp. You can explain your circumstances in the application. We don’t want you to miss out on the experience!

Financial Assistance Application Deadlines
Since financial assistance is dependent upon how many families apply for each camp, and the funding requested, we are unable to accept any financial assistance applications after the camp’s deadline. Financial assistance will be awarded and distributed within 10 days of the registration deadline.
