Camp Fees & Stipends
Camp Fees
Heritage Camp’s model means that we keep camp fees very low and that those who can, donate a bit extra at camp registration and at various times throughout the year.
We intentionally and thoughtfully utilize volunteers because of our values around family engagement, but also because it allows camp to be affordable for most families.
If you’re attending two separate camps (run by Heritage Camps for Adoptive Families) this summer, you are eligible to receive 50% off your program fees and lodging fees for the second camp. After you register for both camps, please email info@HeritageCamps.org about your reimbursement.
There is also a break in cost if you have 4 or more children, which is $95 per child.
Lodging fees are not included in the Camp Fees. You will receive a letter right after registering with the lodging information and reservation link. Please see our Camp Locations page for approximate lodging costs.
Additional Fees (Optional)
Each of our camps generally have additional activities for families during camp that are optional. This may include the first night’s dinner, evening family events, fundraisers to help each camp raise much appreciated funds, etc. Since these are optional events and costs, we do no build them into the Camp Program Fees, but will send invitations and information to you as we get closer to camp.

Stipends
We provide stipends for approximately 50-75 families each year because inclusivity is one of our core values. We never want finances to be a reason for a family not to attend camp.
We generally award stipends to every family who applies, but it likely will not cover the full cost of camp. Most often, we are able to award about 80% of what is requested per family. This decision is based on the number of other applicants who have applied and the amount of funds requested. We ask you to contribute as much as you can toward your camp costs.
When registering online, you will have to pay the full amount via credit card for your camp fees (due to the way the registration system works online), then you complete a stipend request form (link to the form available here.) When you receive a stipend, you will receive a reimbursement check for that amount from HCAF.
Stipends may also be awarded for lodging costs, but you will have to pay your lodging deposit when you reserve your space online or via phone. If you receive a stipend for lodging, those funds will be included in your stipend check, mailed to you before camp, which you can use to pay your lodging balance.
The stipend determination will be made soon after the camp registration deadline. You must complete a Stipend Request Form in order to be considered.
Stipends are determined based on the following criteria: family size; number of family members attending Heritage Camp this summer; willingness of adult family members to assist in camp preparations or during camp above and beyond assigned volunteer positions, and extenuating family circumstances.
Stipend Request Deadlines
Since stipend amounts are dependent upon how many families apply for each camp, and the funding requested, we are unable to accept any stipend requests after the camp’s deadline. Stipends will be determined and distributed within 10 days of the registration deadline.
