Why We’re a Family Camp
Each year we receive questions from prospective families, asking whether they can send their child to camp, without attending themselves. Most of us have grown up with the idea that kids go to camp, and rarely consider why a parent might attend as well. Families who have experienced Heritage Camps for Adoptive Families first-hand understand why their involvement is an essential part of the strengthening connections within adoptive families. Parents tell us that they can’t imagine missing out on all the learning that happens in our adult workshops, and from experiences and ideas shared by other adoptive parents who are walking the same path.

We like to remind parents that when you recruit another family to attend any of our camps, you’ll receive a certificate to use in the camp market. Learn more about our +ONE Program here. There are so many adoptive families around the country who can benefit from Heritage Camps, and word-of-mouth is our best recruitment tool!

Have you ever met a family who would benefit from attending Heritage Camps for Adoptive Families, and you needed a quick and easy way to provide information about camp?
Simply print your own info cards at home or at your local office store. Add your contact information to the cards if you’d like! Another way to spread the word is to share our colorful and informative flyers about our 8 Heritage Campsand Domestic Adoption Camp with your friends and community groups. These capture so much of what camp has to offer!
And don’t forget that when you register early, you can avoid a late fee!
