
They participate in all of the camp workshops and activities with the kids, but MOST importantly, serve as positive role models for the children and families who attend camp.
Though our counselors are solely volunteers, the camp pays for all food and lodging while at camp. If you are applying from out-of-state, it will be up to you to arrange and pay for your own transportation to camp. This experience may also be used as credit toward community service requirements in high school or college courses, and the Executive Director has written many letters of recommendation for counselors applying for scholarship or employment opportunities.

If you are interested in becoming a Heritage Camp counselor, please submit the following application at any time after March 1st, but no later than one month prior to the applicable camp date. You will receive an immediate confirmation when we receive your application, then your camp’s Counselor Coordinator will contact you within a few weeks of receiving your application, to let you know if you have been accepted as a counselor, and with further details about your role at camp.
