How does this work?
Gift cards may be reloaded at the register or Customer Service Desk for any amount up to $500. When a card is reloaded at the customer service desk or a register other than where your groceries are scanned, there is a five-minute delay before the funds will be available.
Your gift card must be reloaded in a SEPARATE transaction prior to your groceries being scanned. You must tell the cashier that you would like to add money to your gift card. After that transaction is paid for, the purchases are rung up and paid for using the card.
Where can I use my card?
Gift cards may be used to purchase virtually anything at King Soopers or other Kroger facilities except services. Services include Western Union, Money Orders, Tickets West, Postage Stamps and Lottery Tickets.
Cards may be used for groceries, pharmacy items, gift cards to retail and restaurants and gas. If you use the card to purchase gas, you will not receive gas points.
King Soopers cards are accepted at most Kroger affiliated stores throughout the U.S. These include Kroger, Fred Meyer, Ralphs, Fry’s and Fry’s Marketplace, King Soopers, Dillon’s, Smith’s Food & Drug, City Market, QFC, Food 4 Less, Owens’s FoodsCo., Hilander, Pay-Less, Cala-Bell, Baker’s, JayC, Fred Meyer Jewelers, Littman & Barclay Jewelers and Loaf and Jug.
What if I lose my card?
Your card is like cash and cannot be replaced if lost or stolen. King Soopers stores cannot be responsible for the card value if a card is lost, stolen damaged or destroyed. If something happens to your card, contact HCAF for a replacement. You cannot purchase a card at any store to be used for HCAF as it will not be linked! A new card must be purchased through HCAF.
How do I find out the balance on my card?
There are four ways to obtain the balance on your gift card. The balance will be printed on the bottom of your cash register receipt; visit www.gcbalance.com, call 866−822−6252, or your cashier may check your balance.
What if I have a problem with my card? Say I haven’t used my card in a while and now it won’t work or it appears to be demagnetized? What if it is lost or stolen?
A card with a zero balance for 90 days will become inactive. A new card will need to be purchased .
Occasionally a card is demagnetized. This rarely happens. If it does you should use the balance on the card and purchase a new one through HCAF. Remember, if you don’t purchase it through us, your purchases will not get credited to HCAF!
